Our research group operates a purpose-built experimental infrastructure at the Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health (IMROH) in Zagreb, under Division of Radiation Protection supporting two complementary tracks of radiation detector development: medical imaging and dosimetry.

The infrastructure was established in 2023 through a major investment funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), which included the construction of new buildings, the reconstruction of existing facilities, and the establishment of three specialized laboratories. It has since been further equipped through nationally funded technology transfer projects under Croatia's National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NextGenerationEU).

Electronics Development Laboratory
Equipped for the design, assembly, and testing of analogue and digital detector electronics. The laboratory supports the full front-end development workflow, from schematic design and prototyping through to bench characterization of signal acquisition and processing chains.

Dosimetry Laboratory
Dedicated to the development and evaluation of dosimetric methods and instrumentation for radiation protection applications.

Irradiation Laboratory
Enables characterization of detectors under controlled irradiation conditions. The laboratory is equipped with various multichannel data acquisition systems for systematic performance evaluation of detector prototypes.

Together, these facilities allow the complete detector development cycle — from electronic design and fabrication through to calibrated performance testing — to be carried out within a single institutional setting.

Access and collaboration
We welcome collaboration with research groups, institutions, and industry partners with interests in radiation detection, medical imaging, and dosimetry. The infrastructure is available to external users through joint research projects, consortium partnerships, and commercial arrangements.
